Why families choose us

This is not traditional speech therapy

Most clinics and schools assign one therapist to several children and hand you a progress report one to four times a year. We built TruePotential to be the opposite.

👥

Two clinicians, one child

Every speech session pairs a PhD-level speech-language pathologist with a trained assistant — focused entirely on your child. Personalized attention isn’t a promise here; it’s the staffing model.

🧩

Built for the tough cases

Nonverbal children, autism, complex profiles, families told to “wait and see.” These are the cases our practice was built around — not the exceptions.

📈

The TC curriculum

Sessions follow the TherapyConnectData (TC) curriculum, developed by Dr. Quiñones from 24 years of real clinical practice — structured, measurable, and evidence-based.

📱

Parents see progress live

With the TherapyConnectData app, you follow your child’s goals and every data point from your phone — session by session, not report by report.

What we offer

Two services, one standard: expert care

Speech therapy and educational therapy — each with a clear, honest payment model.

Speech Therapy

Evaluation and individualized intervention for speech and language — including late talkers, nonverbal children, autism, and complex communication needs.

  • 2-to-1 sessions: a PhD-level SLP plus a trained assistant, dedicated to one child
  • TC curriculum: structured goals built from 24 years of clinical practice
  • Parent tools: follow progress live in the TherapyConnectData app
  • In English or Spanish, at our Tucson clinic
Payment: Speech therapy is private pay (cash) only. We do not bill or work with insurance companies — which is exactly what lets us keep sessions 2-to-1 and expert-led.

Educational Therapy

One-on-one, therapy-informed academic intervention for children who need more than tutoring — reading, writing, math, attention and learning skills, taught the way your child learns.

  • Individualized learning plans based on a real assessment, not a workbook
  • Support for learning differences, attention challenges, and school struggles
  • Coordinated with our speech team when a child needs both
  • Measurable goals with progress parents can actually see
Payment: Educational therapy can be paid with Arizona ESA funds (Empowerment Scholarship Account) — we’ll help you use your child’s account. Private pay is also welcome.

Dr. Daniel Quiñones Meléndez, PhD, M.S., CCC-SLP

Clinical Director & Co-Founder Arizona-licensed SLP 24 years · 3 countries Bilingual: English/Spanish

Dr. Quiñones has spent 24 years working with hundreds of children with autism, language delays, and complex communication challenges — including the children other clinics turn away. His clinical work is the foundation of the TC curriculum and the TherapyConnectData platform used in every TruePotential session.

A graduate of Canterbury Christ Church University in England, Dr. Quiñones spent years training future speech and language therapists in the UK and collaborated in designing bachelor’s and master’s degree curricula — the same academic rigor he brings to every child’s plan in Tucson.

If your family has been told to wait, to lower expectations, or to accept “that’s just how it is” — a consultation with Dr. Q is a second opinion from someone who has seen what’s possible.

“Daniel is a cutting edge innovator, scientist, and practitioner in the field of behavioral health. He is one of the leading thinkers in the Southwest — and far beyond… any organization or parent who consults with him will benefit from a professional perspective that brings credible science to the task at hand.”

Therapy that doesn’t stop when the session ends

Every TruePotential family works on TherapyConnectData (TC) — the clinical platform built from Dr. Quiñones’s real case archive.

650+
real children in the clinical corpus
3,600+
documented strategies from real cases
2,000+
step-by-step protocols
24
years of practice across 3 countries

Your child’s goals, session data, and progress live in the TC app — so you can monitor everything from your phone, session by session.

And you don’t just watch: TC lets parents implement the same goals directly at home — with the exact programs, materials, and daily targets from your child’s plan — in strict continuity with what’s done in the sessions. Nothing improvised, nothing contradictory: home practice follows the clinic plan, and everything you record at home flows back to the team.
